About the Role

Within our team, your primary responsibility is to support the analysis and reporting of the investment result of Swiss Re. We assess how the implementation of the Strategic Asset Allocation and the financial markets affect the reported investment result for the Group, bringing across the storyline to both internal stakeholders as well as through external communications. The role encompasses the financial reporting of the IFRS investment results for both the Group and its Business Segments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • We accurately prepare the quarterly reporting (including, but not limited to, Results Conference materials, analyst slides, MD&As, press releases, Investor slides and Q&A)
  • Ensure timely and accurate delivery of all other IFRS investment reporting deliverables
  • Facilitate positive working relations with partners (e.g., Treasury, Group External Reporting, Group Investment Reporting, Client Solutions & Analytics)
  • Serve as the key liaison between AM and the Business Unit (BU) Finance teams as well as Investor Relations/ Group Reporting/ Communications, ensuring consistency of the "story" throughout
  • Coordinate / Contribute to IFRS investment projections and the 3-year Plan for senior management and the BUs
  • Collaborate closely with the Asset Class teams as well as the wider AM Finance Team
  • Contribute to the positive Team spirit

About the Team

We, the Asset Management (AM) Finance team, lead and facilitate all financial matters related to Swiss Re Group's investments, including financial analysis as well as financial and performance reporting. Working closely together within the team, we deepen the understanding of the end-to-end investment value chain. The team, consisting of finance professionals located in Bratislava, New York, and Zurich, closely interacts with a broad range of counterparts. The activities focus on collaborating with partners across the AM and Finance organizations with value creation at the center of attention while living up for a good work atmosphere and great team spirit!

About You

You are a proactive and flexible person who easily adapts to new ways of working. With strong analytical skills and conceptual thinking, you excel in solving complex problems. You're a team player who works well with others and is committed to contributing to the team's success.

Essentials:

  • University degree; preferably in Finance, Economics, Accounting or Business
  • Understanding in financial products, asset classes and financial markets
  • Curiosity about the investment process and the impacts from financial markets on the investment result
  • Very good command of English language (written and spoken)
  • Enjoy working in fast developing environment; ability to multitask
  • Knowledge of MS Office, IT affinity is a plus
