Due to an internal move, the Funds Management Finance Team is now looking for a Head of Business Performance and Analytics to join the team based in Sydney
About the role
As our Head of Business Performance and Analytics, you will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of our Funds Management Business. The businesses within Funds Management include Fidante Global and Challenger Investment Management (CIM).
The position plays a pivotal role supporting the CFO, Funds Management the Funds Management CEO and Leadership Team in assessing potential commercial opportunities and their operational and financial viability, both for the organic growth of the funds management business, the growth of the affiliate model and the acquisition of new businesses. This includes the provision of broad commercial advice on business decisions, considering both financial and non-financial aspects.
You'll provide strong financial leadership and business partnering support to the Funds Management leadership team enabling them to achieve the division's overall strategic initiatives. Some of your core responsibilities will be.
About You
To succeed in this role, you'll have a strong blend of financial expertise, commercial acumen, and leadership ability, enabling you to navigate complex financial landscapes while inspiring and motivating your team to deliver exceptional results.
You'll have at least 7+ years of experience in senior finance roles within financial services, ideally Funds Management. Your ability to provide data-driven insights and fact-based advice will be crucial to guiding long-term strategic decisions.

- Lead management reporting and strategic planning, driving financial performance across the Funds Management business.
- Providing commercial support to senior management on M&A activities, transactions, and integrating new businesses into the group.
- Lead data development, analytics, and insights to identify and assess commercial opportunities, support organic growth, acquisitions, and new product ventures.
- Drive the design and delivery of insightful management information to the Funds Management CEO, CFO, and Leadership team.
- Own the delivery of annual budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting for Funds Management, contributing to both half-year and year-end cycles.
- Build strong relationships across the finance team and the wider Funds Management ecosystem, including Fidante Leadership, our Affiliates and Challenger Investment Management (CIM).
- Partner with leadership on high-impact projects, including M&A activity, strategic initiatives, and new product development.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across teams like Investor Relations, Treasury, and Tax while supporting the development of long-term strategic plans.
- Continuously improve core financial and operational processes, ensuring the highest standards in reporting and analytics.
About You

- Experience/involvement in managing M&A transactions, including financial modelling, due diligence, and integration.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present and influence stakeholders ranging from Board Members, external stakeholders, and leadership teams.

- Professional CA, CPA, CIMA, Masters, CFA or equivalent qualification
