Citi's UK, & Europe Gas & Power sales team forms a core pillar of Citi's top-tier Global Commodities business. This team is responsible for driving the success of our gas and power business by offering physical and financial flow and structured products. This is a broad and varied role and requires a dynamic, entrepreneurial individual with existing proven and successful experience in gas and power sales and origination and who can quickly become a valued member of this team.

What you'll do
  • Drive client franchise expansion. Originate and execute meaningful incremental business with both existing and new clients to achieve the strategic growth and market share we are aiming for
  • Collaborate with multiple internal partners across both Markets and Banking to enhance share of mind with clients, increase dialogue and to deliver on expertise
  • Work in close partnership with control functions such as Legal, Compliance, Market and Credit Risk, Audit, Finance in order to ensure appropriate governance and control infrastructure
  • Appropriately assess risk/reward of transactions when making business decisions; demonstrating proper consideration for the firm's reputation

What we'll need from you
  • Strong commodities relationship management experience, including coverage of gas and power clients in the UK and Europe
  • Developed understanding of commodities derivatives/physical/financing products
  • An entrepreneurial approach for business origination and proven ability to adapt to meet evolving business opportunities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholder groups, both internal and external to Citi
  • Team-oriented approach and eagerness to succeed together
  • Demonstrated understanding of compliance issues and regulatory requirements (global and local)
