Main duties & responsibilities:
Qualifications & experience:
- Support the team to maintain and develop client relationships, execute transactions on behalf of clients and meet their regulatory obligations
- Support the wider team on transactions - IPOs, secondary fundraisings etc
- Review reports from other advisers on transactions, particularly those from the reporting accountant
- Draft announcements for corporate clients
- Form an effective working relationship with other departments, corporate clients and other professional advisers
- Develop a good understanding of the relevant rules and regulations including the AIM Rules, the City Code on Takeovers and Mergers, the Listing Rules, MAR, MiFID II and the NEX Rules (where relevant)
- Be responsible for managing or assisting the Corporate Finance directors in managing relationships with corporate clients
Qualifications & experience:
- Qualified ACA (first time passes)
- Strong academics
- Exposure to Excel and financial models
- A keen and demonstrable interest in UK capital markets
- Experience of providing exceptional service to potential and existing clients through the preparation of high quality deliverables and ongoing advice
- A conscientious approach to work, with a focus on quality and accuracy
- A high level of enthusiasm for building advisory client relationships
- An appetite for business development, and a proactive approach in bringing ideas to the role
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Demonstrable drive and determination
- Strong numerical, analytical and project management skills
- Well developed interpersonal skills and be an excellent team player
- A strong work ethic and a flexible work attitude, including the ability to work to tight deadlines
- A strong working knowledge of MS Office
