Data Management & Governance, organised under GSTAR, is the implementation of enabling infrastructures, policies, practices and procedures that allow the organisation to manage the end-to-end lifecycle of data.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead to develop standards, controls, procedures and accountability across business units on implementation of the data governance.
  • Lead to define data strategy to establish and ensure adherence to the Bank's data governance framework for data policies, standards, governance metrics, processes and data architecture.
  • Track emerging data regulations and trends to maintain a compliant and contemporary data governance program.
  • Oversee processes for improving data quality, cataloging, and metadata management. Implement data quality rules, checks, and issue resolution workflows.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree or above in Computer Science, Engineering or data related discipline
  • Minimum of 8 years working experience in data governance / data management / AI/ML governance related work
  • Experience in establishing and monitoring of data governance framework
  • Expert knowledge of data governance frameworks and data management best practices
  • Sound knowledge of HK regulatory requirements related to data governance.
  • Previous experience to develop and execute data strategy, governance policies, AI/ML & Gen AI governance, data architecture, and data management.
  • Strong leadership, problem-solving and project management skills
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building and presentation abilities.
  • Confident working in cross-functional, collaborative environments.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Experience in banking industry preferred.
