Credit Research Analyst

Principal Accountabilities 

• Credit Research
• Managing and updating credits under coverage, to write detailed research reports which can help in taking investment decisions
• Creating and updating models/spreadsheets in connection with valuation and research forecasts
• Gathering data relevant to the sector around pricing, promotions etc.
• Compiling historical data in respect of companies from publicly available sources and making forecasts based on the information available and sensibly inferred
• Updating and maintaining databases to track relevant financial, economic and other indicators which may be relevant to the sector and/or companies under coverage 
• Providing ad hoc analysis as may be required by the investment team 
• Monitoring relevant market news and summarizing as well as assessing impact on the sector or coverage universe
• Assisting with the preparation and development of research reports for new credits to be added to the investment universe
• Preferred candidates should have exposure to Financial and non-Financial service companies 

Essential Skills 

• Strong understanding of financial terms, valuations, balance sheets, etc. 
• Proficient in building financial models, MS Excel, MS Office applications

Qualifications

• MBA / CFA / CA

Work Experience 

• ~3+ years of relevant experience in Insurance / Mutual Fund / Bank / Pension Fund / Sell Side company
