Sitting within CBA's Institutional Banking & Markets business, the Non-Bank Financial Institutions (NBFI) team proactively develops client relationships and originates new business opportunities through the provisioning of advice, structuring and execution of product solutions tailored to the needs of diversified Financial Institutions and Securitisation businesses.
Do work that matters:
As an Associate Director in the team you'll play a key role in delivering overall relationship management that will enable you to respond to their needs as well as identify and execute new business opportunities, making a positive impact for our client and the Bank.
Further responsibilities will include:
- Cultivating and owning relationships with client Treasury and C-Suite executives to deliver capital, transactional and risk management solutions.
- Develop expertise in the sector and provide unique insights into market and industry conditions in order to identify and originate viable transaction, structuring and business improvement opportunities.
- Support the development of new innovative product ideas in conjunction with internal and external advisers to enable the team to offer acceptable outcomes to the client base.
- Coordinating with internal business partners to draft, review and sign off on credit submissions and documentation on deals.
- Identify and actively manage the full spectrum of risks associated with the origination and on-going management of clients, including regular client reviews and day-to-day exposure monitoring.
- Providing leadership and development to junior bankers.
We're interested in hearing from people who have:
- A strong academic background with tertiary studies in Business, Engineering or Law.
- Proven experience in engaging and building credibility and strong client relationships, and leveraging internal relationships to deliver against revenue and client satisfaction targets.
- Familiarity across product capabilities including corporate finance, debt capital markets, global markets and risk management, cash management and payments
- An extensive background in Institutional banking with an acute understanding of key drivers affecting the industry.
- Demonstrable credit risk, analytical and presentation skills necessary to build and deliver complex credit proposals on structured transactions and prepare exceptional client presentations.
