- Preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for civil and rail projects.
- Play a critical role in managing project costs, ensuring value for money while delivering high-quality civil and rail projects
- Managing and controlling project expenditures to meet financial objectives.
- Conducting valuations, cost analysis, and risk management.
- Liaising with project managers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure accurate cost assessments.
- Monitoring financial progress, identifying any variances from the project budget, and implementing corrective actions.
- Preparing reports and contractual documents, including claims and variations.
- A degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in quantity surveying, ideally within the civil or rail industry.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, contracts, and cost control processes.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
- Proficiency in relevant software, such as MS Project, Excel, and cost management tools.
- A keen eye for detail and excellent problem-solving skills.
