Responsible for managing a portfolio of projects in a dynamic, cross-functional team in Corporate Credit Administration and Business Banking Credit Administration (BBCA) supporting Group Wholesale Banking, Commercial Banking, Global Markets, and Risk Management. This is a Project Management role within the BBCA Department partnering with Business Units, Business Analysts, Technology, Malaysia Hub, and International Branches.
Responsibilities
- Designing and leading tactical and strategic projects for the BBCA Department including process redesign from RM initiation to documentation checks, credit facility implementation, loan disbursements, redemptions, and annual credit reviews
- Design BBCA target operating model, aligning to O&T CRUISE One Ops platform, leveraging process redesign tools and technology enablers (e.g. iLMS, OCTopus, OneCapture)
- Streamline end-to-end processes to eliminate wastage, non-value-added processes, hand offs, and operational errors
- Execute and project manage offshoring and hubbing activities from Singapore to the Bank's operations Hubs (e.g. Malaysia)
- Partner with Global Wholesale Business to implement Global Modernization Platform (GMP) and enhance workflows from the front office to BBCA, reducing documentation checks, manual data keying, human error, and operational risk
- Establish procedure to manage and resolve business and customer escalations, and ensuring communication and status updates are provided in a timely manner to stakeholders (BU, O&T, R&P)
- Contribute to improvement and quality projects to enhance productivity and service quality
- Conduct regular reviews on operational processes/workflows, update control procedures manual, and manage ad-hoc projects
- Assist in collating MIS data and reporting to Regulatory bodies
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from a reputable university (Singapore or overseas)
- Minimum 8 years of experience in Project Management working in the banking industry
- Experienced in industry-leading Project Management methodologies including Lean Six Sigma, Prince, Project Management Professional, Kaizen, Agile, etc
- Track record of leading large-scale projects: automation, process improvement, reengineering, digitalization, hubbing/offshoring, and systems integration
- Working knowledge of corporate and commercial loan operations, global markets, trade finance, and supply chain financing
- Familiar with regulatory requirements including MAS637, MAS757, S35, and S29
