Job Description
The Grant reporting finance specialist will help the Finance team on managing the administration, reporting and overall tracking of the growing number of grants and donations that the organization receives each year to run various projects.
This will include the following responsibilities :
- Grant management : oversee the financial management of grants, ensuring compliance with grant terms and conditions in collaboration with other teams responsible for the grant governance
- Financial reporting : prepare and submit financial reports to grantors as required and ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial data related to grants
- Audit and documentation : prepare for and assist with internal and external grant audits
- Compliance : ensure compliance and maintain knowledge of grant regulations and guidelines
- Grant closure : ensure all financial and reporting requirements are met, reconcile final expenditures and ensure proper documentation is in place
- Budgeting and forecasting : work with internal stakeholders to support the preparation of grant budgets, forecasts and monitoring activities
- Collaboration : work closely with project leads and various teams to ensure effective grant management
- Process excellence and continuous improvement : define and implement process improvements and standardisation
The Successful Applicant
The successful Grant reporting finance specialist we are looking for will come with the following background and experience :
- Bachelor's degree in business and finance, international relations, public administration, or another relevant field
- Proven accounting skills and capability
- 3 to 5 years of professional experience
- Familiar with grant management procedures and donor relations
- Ability to work efficiently with a large quantity of data and be able to translate that data meaningfully
- Ability to compile numbers reliably and present them in a confident manner
- Capacity to build strong relationships and collaborate with all relevant stakeholders
- High level proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
- Fluent in English and excellent oral/written communication skills
