A London based bank is looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to join them on a temporary basis.
The role will support the Financial controller in the delivery of reporting and operational requirements within the Financial Control Department.
This role will involve some additional project work assisting in the re-establishment of the Financial Control function including update and development of formalised operational development of initial budget management and monthly monitoring report framework.

This role will involve some additional project work assisting in the re-establishment of the Financial Control function including update and development of formalised operational development of initial budget management and monthly monitoring report framework.

- Salary: Day rate £210
- Hybrid working
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Prepare daily bank reconciliations and run master reports
- Prepare reports to Head Office (HO) on a monthly & quarterly basis.
- Preparation of journals and support for month end, half year and year end reporting.
- Preparation of term deposit, counterparty deal confirmations and communication of deal confirmations with counterparty
- Inter account FX fund transfers.
- Ongoing cashflow projections and cash monitoring.
- Assist with the interim and year end audits.
- Preparation of FCA returns.
- Preparation of VAT returns
- Processing of Accounts Payable and employee claim payments and associated reporting.
- Involvement in and administration of corporate card expense reporting.
- Accounts Receivable
- Project work assisting and being involved in the re-establishment of the Financial Control function including update and development of formalised operational policies and procedures, establishment of formalised internal control processes and development of initial budget management and monthly monitoring report framework
Qualifications and Experience required:
- At least 5 years' experience in an established accounting function.
- Experience of working in an environment that is audited, regulated and controlled would be desirable.
- Experience in financial services is desirable.
