We're seeking a future team member for the role of VP, Global Tax Advisory, to join our Wealth Management team. This role is located in New York, NY (HYBRID).

In this role, you'll make an impact in the following ways:
  • Monitor and research tax laws, regulations, and rulings in assigned domiciles.
  • Analyze and interpret tax research publications to evaluate potential impact on client tax rates and documentation requirements.
  • Research market best practices related to compliance and reporting of transaction taxes, withholding taxes, and statutory taxes.
  • Work with clients and their attorneys and accountants to implement plans to mitigate tax risk.
  • Review and summarize clients' estate planning documents, identifying areas for update and improvement based on relevant federal and state laws.
  • Model transfer tax and net worth impact of wealth planning techniques such as IDGTs, CRTs, CLTs, GRATs, QPRTs and DAFs/private foundations.
  • Promote thought leadership both internally and externally.
To be successful in this role, we're seeking the following:
  • Bachelor's degree with J.D.is required.
  • 5+ years of total work experience preferred.
  • Financial Services experience, with Ultra High Net Worth client exposure, preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, experience working in a highly detail-oriented environment, proficiency with Microsoft Office, proven verbal and written communication skills are also preferred.

BNY assesses market data to ensure a competitive compensation package for our employees. The base salary for this position is expected to be between $113,100 and $209,400 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base salary if hired will be determined on an individualized basis, including as to experience and market location, and is only part of the BNY total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, discretionary bonuses, short and long-term incentive packages, and Company-sponsored benefit programs.
