About Our Client
Our client a leader in the medical device industry
Job Description
Budgeting and Forecasting: Drives annual site standard costing process.
Actively liaise with the local functions to determine the annual standard cost, ensuring that the departments have the relevant financial information and comply with the budget guidelines.
Provides local and regional management with comprehensive analysis and overview of the budget information.
Regular product costing activities for Swiss manufacturing entity:
Monitoring of the month end activities: prepare journals and reconciliations, supports the closing activities for the site, as needed
Continuous monitoring on manufacturing spend (standard costs and manufacturing variances performances)
Ensure compliance with the SOX controls for the product costing area
Monitor, review and improve local guidelines and procedures in accordance with the Group
Point of contact for SAP system updates and testing in the product costing area
Supports Local Manufacturing management and other functions if required for
Product costing and variances KPIs, actual vs budget / target and other analysis
Product costing related to new product introduction, process changes, etc. and assess financial impact of changes to cost base (supplier, process, etc.)
CAPEX performance monitoring and reporting
Reporting activities: reporting pack, Scorecard, other regular financial and management reporting
Special requests and projects as needed.
The Successful Applicant
Financial education: bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
5 to 7 years' experience in finance, preferably in industrial controlling or management accounting
Good understanding of financial processes and financial statements
Solid working knowledge of SAP and Excel
Excellent analytical skills - patience and determination to analyze data in detail
Proactive communicator - ability to explain financial processes to non-finance colleagues and management
French + good English skills. German a plus.
