Position Summary:

This role requires a seasoned professional with deep expertise in big data technologies. This position demands a strong foundation in designing, developing, and maintaining complex data pipelines that are scalable, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The ideal candidate must be proficient in agile methodologies, capable of quickly learning and adapting to client-specific data engineering frameworks. This position also requires excellent stakeholder management skills, as you will be collaborating closely with clients to gather requirements and provide technical guidance.

Mandatory Skills:

• Big Data Technologies: Proficient in Spark, Hadoop, Hive, and other big data tools.
• Programming Languages: Strong experience with Python.
• Orchestration Tools: Hands-on experience with Control-M or similar orchestration tools.
• Cloud Platforms: Expertise in Azure Synapse and familiarity with other cloud platforms like AWS or GCP.
• Agile Methodology: Extensive experience working in an agile environment, including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
• Data Pipeline Development: Proven track record in designing and implementing complex data pipelines.
• Code Quality Assurance: Ability to conduct thorough code reviews and enforce best coding practices.
• Stakeholder Management: Strong skills in gathering requirements, communicating technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders, and managing client relationships.
• Adaptability: Quick to learn and adapt to new tools, technologies, and client-specific frameworks.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines using big data technologies, ensuring they meet performance and reliability requirements.
• Code Quality Assurance: Conduct code reviews and enforce coding standards to ensure high-quality deliverables.
• Stakeholder Interaction: Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to gather requirements, clarify objectives, and provide technical guidance.
• System and Dataflow Design: Contribute to the design and architecture of data systems, dataflows, and complex pipelines, ensuring they are aligned with business goals.
• Agile Participation: Actively participate in agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, stand-ups, and retrospectives, to ensure project milestones are met.
• Mentorship: Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Client Framework Upskilling: Quickly learn and adapt to the client's internal data engineering frameworks, ensuring seamless integration and project continuity.
• Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, analysts, and other engineers, to deliver end-to-end data solutions.
• Innovation: Stay current with the latest industry trends and technologies, continuously seeking ways to improve our data engineering practices and deliver cutting-edge solutions to clients.

Salary Range: >$100,000
