Overview:
Atomic Recruitment is partnering with one of the leading commodity trading firms in the world. This is a 1-year contract role based in Raffles Place (Singapore), and primarily responsible for the day-to day functions of the Back Office. This role will be focused on Accounts Payables (AP) and Accounts Receivables (AR) for the Singapore, London, and US operations.
Working Arrangements and Hours:
Hybrid working arrangement, and at least 40 hours per week.
Role:

Key Responsibilities:
- Daily processing of Accounts Payables and Receivables and updating of the relevant accounting systems.
- Providing cover for AR/AP team members, when necessary.
- Liaising with Settlements team for processing of trade invoices.
- Preparing daily bank reconciliation and following up on outstanding reconciling items.
- Processing of overhead as well as employee payroll and claims and posting of the corresponding journals.
- Responsible for overhead recharges and liaison with counterparties.
- Assisting in tax and audit matters.
- Addressing of audit points/observations.
- Other ad-hoc duties and projects.
Education and Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Accountancy or on track to obtain a professional certificate (ACCA).
- At least 3-6 years of relevant working experience.
- Good understanding in journal entries and accounting principles.
- Experience in commodity trading firm is an advantage.
- Proficiency in MS Office especially in Microsoft Excel.
- Experience with Sun/Horizon/IMOS system is an added advantage.
- Effective communication skills.
- Meticulous, able to work independently, and strives under pressure.
