Description:

We have an immediate opening for a Researcher to join the firm in our Washington, DC office. NERA's experts are global leaders in applying economic expertise in litigation and public policy contexts. Our team applies rigorous economic and data analyses in consumer protection, antitrust, and business litigation and policy.

Your responsibilities may include:
  • Creating SAS, Stata, or other statistical software code to manage, review, and analyze large datasets.
  • Reviewing, summarizing, and analyzing case documents, public information, and academic articles in the context of a matter.
  • Creating exhibits and materials for trials, expert reports, whitepapers, and presentations to government agencies.
  • Drafting memoranda, emails, documentation of analyses, and expert reports.
  • Participating in client meeting and conference calls.
  • Applying microeconomic and industrial organization concepts to real world problems.

This is a team based, multi-task environment that requires precision work, often under tight deadlines. As a qualified candidate, you should have a bachelor's or master's degree in economics, mathematics, finance, statistics, computer science, or related fields with a strong academic record. We are looking for candidates who are adaptable and keen on learning new skills, enjoy solving analytical and empirical problems, like working in teams, have exceptional creative and critical thinking skills, excellent oral and written communications skills. Financial services experience is a plus, as is previous experience using statistical software and coursework in econometrics and accounting. Previous work experience, including part-time work and employment in other fields, is highly desirable.

The applicable base salary for this role is $90,000 per year.

In addition to the base salary, this position may be eligible for performance-based incentives.
