Overview
Join a prominent local retail bank in Hong Kong as a Manager in our Regulatory Reporting team. This is a critical checker position that reports directly to the team head, where you will play a key role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of our regulatory reporting processes.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of regulatory reports to ensure compliance with local and international regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of regulatory reports to verify accuracy, completeness, and alignment with established guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with various internal departments to gather necessary data and insights for comprehensive reporting.
  • Monitor changes in regulatory requirements and ensure timely updates to internal reporting processes and systems.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of excellence in regulatory reporting practices.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to regulatory reporting.
  • Prepare management reports on regulatory compliance status and highlight key findings for senior management.
  • Support ad hoc projects and initiatives related to regulatory reporting as assigned by the team head.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; a professional qualification (e.g., CPA, CFA) is preferred.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in regulatory reporting within the banking or financial services industry, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of regulatory requirements applicable to retail banking in Hong Kong.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail, ensuring high levels of accuracy in reporting.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, VBA and familiarity with regulatory reporting systems.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
