A pan-European Real Estate Debt Fund are recruiting a Fund Controller.

This Fund Controller (Real Estate Debt) role will assist the Head of Finance in managing all financial elements of the real estate debt fund, specifically financial control and reporting across products.

This Fund Controller, Real Estate Debt role will be responsible for:
  • Assist with the financial control of the businesses' products with regard the reporting and finance aspects including
  • Input into the financial controls environment
  • Communication with external Fund administrators
  • Review & opine on Quarterly and annual reporting to investors
  • Assist with annual audited financial statements (with administrators)
  • Assist with Capital call notices and distribution notices to investors (with administrators)
  • Run cash and liquidity management and monitoring of the Funds' various credit facilities
  • Assist in the coordination of the year-end group audit process
  • Assist with the selection and engagement process for service providers and monitor all ongoing corporate level costs against budget
  • Work closely with the investment teams on financial aspects of investments
  • Work closely with third party service providers (including local accountants, tax advisors and auditors) to co-ordinate their work with the Fund administrators
  • Update and maintain the Fund models and assist in the preparation of Fund level business plans and cash flow projections
  • FX management: opine on FX trades for capital calls and distributions
  • Expenses management: Track all fund invoices and prepare wires to pay fund expenses
  • Investment Tax: Review each potential loan investments for tax consequences and potential risks/liabilities during the execution process in conjunction with Transaction Management and Asset Management Teams. Report findings to Investment Committee

Person Specification
  • At least 5 years PQE in accountancy
  • Real estate debt experience is a strong preference, however real estate equity will also be considered
  • Good excel and fund modelling skills
  • Good communication & a team player
