In this position, you will manage the day-to-day operations of the finance team, which consists of five staff members. Your responsibilities will include overseeing payroll processes and providing essential financial support to budget managers. As a senior member of the College, you will interact with key stakeholders, offering financial insights to senior managers. You will be instrumental in ensuring the finance function operates smoothly, with a focus on delivering excellent service to both internal and external stakeholders.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading and managing the finance team.
Overseeing payroll operations.
Supporting budget managers with financial guidance.
Collaborating with senior managers and external stakeholders.
Contributing to the strategic development of the College's financial operations.
The ideal candidate will report directly to the Vice Principal (Finance & Resources) and bring significant experience in finance leadership, preferably within the education sector. You should be an ambitious and self-motivated leader, capable of driving the development of the College's finance function.
Key attributes include:
Proven leadership and financial management experience.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Expertise in managing financial operations in a fast-paced environment.
A deep understanding of the Further Education sector.
The ability to work flexibly and positively under pressure.
A commitment to acting as an advocate for the College's values and mission.
