Responsibilities

This position coordinates Community Reinvestment Act (CRA) and other community development activities to acquire mutually beneficial business relationships for the Bank. Develops partnerships with organizations and individuals towards the achievement of community development and lending objectives. Supports and assists CRA endeavors from regional, area, and market leaders. Maintains a strong presence within the community on behalf of the Bank to facilitate sales and marketing efforts in a target region.
  • Grant Operational Support - involves underwriting CRA qualified philanthropic grants.
  • Relationship Development - Actively builds productive relationships with organizations and individuals who offer community development opportunities. Seeks relationships with self-help organizations, housing authorities and low-income housing entities, local governmental departments, realtors, churches, and other groups focused on CRA-related endeavors or who provide access to a desired customer market.
  • Community Outreach - Cultivates a customer base by establishing and maintaining a strong community presence. Represents the Bank at special events and through volunteerism opportunities. Serves on community organization boards and committees, attends meetings, and conducts workshops and seminars.
  • Community Reinvestment - Determines the financial service needs of assigned communities, and provides solutions personally or through partnership with Bank leadership. Meets or exceeds lending goals by promoting products and services in alignment with CRA and Fair Lending objectives.
  • Business Support - Supports Human Resources in certain markets by establishing contacts and developing pipelines of diverse workforce candidates. Facilitates Bank goals to develop talent that mirrors the ethnic makeup of serviced communities.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree and 6 years of experience in Community Leadership, Compliance, or Financial Services

High School Diploma or GED and 10 years of experience in Community Leadership, Compliance, or Financial Services

License or Certification Type: Valid driver's license Required

Additional Skill(s):
  • Knowledge of the Community Reinvestment Act and key components of the lending, investment, and service tests
  • Knowledge of government assistance programs for first time or affordable home buyers, small businesses, and community development projects
  • Ability to travel frequently to other offices, Bank clients, etc. in personal mode of transportation
