FinTech Strategist

Ebury Madrid - 4 days in the office & 1 day working from home

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for:
  • Collaborate on the product strategy for Lending, focusing on subdomains such as Trade Finance, Fund Finance, and Sport Finance.
  • Manage the end-to-end delivery of new initiatives within Lending, whilst identifying and executing improvements in current features and processes.
  • Stay informed of market, industry, and regulatory trends in lending and Fintech that will guide Ebury's product decisions.
  • Support product commercialisation efforts, including proposition development, business case formulation, stakeholder training, and the creation of marketing collateral.
  • Define, track, and monitor KPIs for product initiatives, making data-driven decisions and actions based on the results.
  • Communicate product performance against KPIs to relevant stakeholders within the organisation.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of stakeholder (internal and external) needs and behaviours to design and deliver successful product outcomes.
  • Collaborate with Technology and other stakeholders to define requirements, epics, and user stories.
  • Maintain an up-to-date understanding of market and regulatory trends in Lending, using this knowledge to inform decisions.

Expectations:

You will have:
  • A strong client focus, making decisions informed by client feedback.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), enabling clear communication of product needs and requirements to leadership, business, and technical stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and project management capabilities.

Must Haves:

Ideal candidates must be able to evidence:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in strategy and execution within top-tier environments, either in corporate or startups.
  • At least 3 years in a consulting or investment banking role, or experience in a high-growth fintech or neobank.
  • Successful delivery of solutions in a fast-paced, agile organisation.
  • Exceptional organisational and project management skills.
  • Strong analytical abilities, capable of breaking down complex problems into manageable parts.
  • A history of grit, determination, and resourcefulness, coupled with a strong desire for professional development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders without authority. An extremely social candidate with a great sense of humour will do fantastic in this team.
  • Domain knowledge or a keen interest in Payments, Lending, or FX.

Nice to Haves:
  • Experience working in a high-growth or scale-environment
  • Experience working with expertise across transactional banking, lending, payments and trade finance
