  • Find fulfillment in being responsible for conducting internal Reviews to assess Forvis Mazars Brisbane's compliance with quality management systems and procedures, and against regulatory and Forvis Mazars requirements.
  • Enjoy planning and executing review activities, analysing processes and documentation, identifying non-conformities, and recommending corrective actions to improve quality performance.
  • Enjoy collaborating with various departments to ensure understanding and implementation of quality standards, provides training on quality procedures, and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Believe that the integrity of a business is built upon maintaining accurate review records, prepare review reports, and the development of quality policies and procedures.
About the job :
  • Lead the maintenance and monitoring of the national quality and risk process.
  • Develop Review Plans: Plan and schedule internal quality reviews based on established procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Communication and training to reinforce risk and quality objectives.
  • Management of the Brisbane Partner compliance and quality Program.
  • Management of the Brisbane Engagement Quality Program.
  • Co-ordination of annual controls self-assessment process for Brisbane Office.
  • Co-ordination of the annual controls testing process.
  • Conduct Reviews: Perform comprehensive reviews of various departments and processes to assess compliance with quality standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the continued establishment and co-ordination of the operational risk register.
  • Provision of data for the development of quality indicators (annual) and root cause analysis.
  • Evaluate Processes: Analyse processes, systems, and documentation to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality management principles.
  • Identify Non-Conformities: Identify and document non-conformities, deviations, or deficiencies observed during audits, and classify them based on severity and impact.
  • Co-ordinate for the Brisbane Office the self-assessment process, in addition to the peer review process, and reporting on any findings to the Partner team and National Quality Manager.
  • To put forward suggestions on how to improve non-compliance.
  • Coordinate compliance with International Standards (e.g. ISO and internal Group policies) on quality across all service lines.
  • Working closely with other support functions, including HR, Marketing, IT and Finance to ensure a holistic delivery of quality aspects.
  • Support Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by providing feedback, contributing to process optimisation, and promoting a culture of quality excellence.
  • Engagement with National Quality Manager and Global quality and risk teams.
  • Maintain Documentation: Maintain accurate and organised review records, including findings, observations, corrective actions, and follow-up activities, in accordance with established procedures.
  • Stay Updated: Stay informed about industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in quality management to continuously enhance review processes and practices.

  • Experience working with ISO9001 standard and the certification process to enhance the overall practice environment.
  • Demonstrated experience in a professional services firm, especially audit or tax services, would be an advantage.

  • Demonstrated ability to provide feedback, share knowledge, and provide support.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to consult with peers.
  • Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
  • Excellent IT Skills
  • Ability to work to deadlines and under pressure.
  • Ability to work proactively and autonomously.
  • Ability to view engagements holistically.
  • Ability to apply professional scepticism to all scenarios.
