We are looking for a Station Hand to assist with our cattle operation at Oakland Park Station near Croydon, Qld. Oakland Park is a 85,500ha breeding enterprise that runs approximately 4000 grey brahmans. The role will initially be for a fixed term until the end of September, with the possibility for an extension if the wet season has not commenced and work can continue.

Key Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Station Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Cattle management, including coacher mustering, yard work and conducting animal husbandry tasks, ensuring it is done precisely and safely
- General farm duties including fencing, feeding, lick runs, checking water, operating machinery, and general farm maintenance
- Property development programs related to farm infrastructure, including yards, water points and fencing projects
- Assist management to achieve production objectives
Requirements
- You will hold a C class drivers' licence (essential)
- You must be proficient in riding a 250cc motorbike to navigate diverse terrain (essential)
- You will be physically fit and resilient to handle the demands of station life.
- You will be keen to learn any livestock handling skills or have experienced working on a farm
- You will have basic mechanical skills for repairs of vehicle or equipment
- You will have good communication skills
- You will be able to work independently and as part of a team
- You will be flexible, reliable, and available to work hours which may vary to meet operational demands (with potential for weekend work)
