Responsibilities

Your Role:
  • Perform overall leadership and coaching of staff including Supervisors and their direct reports.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the teams and provide support and guidance in accomplishing department goals
  • Oversee the preparation of monthly/quarterly reporting package, working papers and financial statement preparation with an adherence to relevant accounting standards
  • Liaise with internal stakeholders and assist them on accounting and administrative issues and relevant developments
  • Create and maintain acceptable service levels for key areas of responsibility
  • Create an environment of co-operation and initiative through appropriate delegation, empowerment, training and motivation.
  • Anticipate and resolve work concerns and exercise sound judgment to make appropriate adjustments.
  • Contribute to the roll out and success of the Global processing initiative, working closely with colleagues in multiple locations globally.
  • Assess areas of risk on each team and within the department and implement processes to address areas of concern.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance technologyand automate procedures to limit or eliminate manual processes.
  • Assist in the developing a global forum dedicated to sharing best practices and improving processing standards.

Qualifications

About You:
  • You are a Degree holder in Accounting/Finance
  • You have minimum 6+ years' experience in Financial Services, preferably in fund accounting
  • You have minimum 4+ years' experience managing and/or leading staff
  • You have knowledge of private equity SPV fund accounting
  • Project management skills and proven ability to effect change
  • Ability to work under pressure in a highly demanding environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Word , Excel , Powerpoint)
