What it's about

Our Finance Asia Group Accounting team ensures the execution of accounting and delivering comprehensive financial reporting for management, regulatory bodies, and statutory purposes across 10 geographical locations in Asia, Australia, and the Middle East. We ensure compliance and provide insightful financial data to support our stakeholders. Tasks include:

  • Perform timely and accurate accounting closing activities (monthly, quarterly, annually) including accounting reconciliation for entities outsourced to external service providers (where applicable)
  • Manage interim and year-end audit process including liaison with auditors and internal teams as well as preparation of annual financial statements in accordance with local GAAP / IFRS
  • Closely coordinate and complete recurring tax-related submissions with Group Tax team
  • Prepare and present financial figures in relatable format and content according to stakeholders' needs (Local board of directors and various Group internal committees)
  • Closely monitor and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements for assigned group entities
  • Full ownership of assigned Finance service catalogue items incl. standard application and recurring process review and improvements
  • Assist team head in reviewing internal control system for further process improvement, lead assigned technological and/or process initiatives

What we expect
  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, CPA or other relevant accounting professional qualifications
  • Working experience of at least 8+ years in similar position
  • Preferably has 2-3 years of experience in external audit with Big 4 firms
  • Reliable and trustworthy individual with good analytical skills and ability to pay excellent attention to detail and adhere to strict deadlines
  • Self-motivated and proactive individual who thrives in demanding environment
  • High-adaptability in growing and changing environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate with different teams/departments and effectively communicate (mainly in English) with both internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in a shared services environment and using ERP systems (SAP) is a must
  • Experience in independently leading process improvement (e.g. via Lean principles) is preferable
  • Experience working in global environment would be a plus
  • Comfortable working as an individual contributor
