Job Summary
- Responsible for managing the general accounting area.
- Manage to general accounting projects.
- Perform Group closing tasks and activities as well as group solvency reporting related work
- Provide work support to the Branch CFO and to assist in the daily, monthly, quarterly and annual functions of the accounting aspects of the Korea branch
Responsibilities
Key duties and responsibilities
A) FINANCIAL ACCOUNTING
- Perform the monthly/quarterly closing and year-end closing process of financial statements - Group closing activities for all accounting accounts and generate F/S for Group reporting
- Check and input of financial accounts for group reporting purpose.
- Perform the internal expense close process including CONCUR within the scheduled timeline in working closely with AP SSC team in APAC Finance
- Prepare quarterly / yearly budget and actual expense analysis
- Prepare and validate internal cost allocation and intragroup recharges
- Check and validate technical accounting, investment accounting
- Perform the internal and external audit
B) FINANCIAL REPORTING
- Perform and support all inside and outside customer requests in a timely and accurate manner
- Respond other ad-hoc report requested by Group with prompt timeline and accurate data
C) INTERNAL CONTROL SYSTEM
- Contribute to implementation of ICS procedures. Ensure ICS procedures compliance when in place
D) TAX
- Check and review Quarterly VAT and Proxy VAT reporting
- Check and review the calculation and report of Education Tax quarterly basis
- Support the Year-end Corporate income tax filing
- Manage APA transfer pricing reporting, BEPS Reporting including Master File and Local File
E) TREASURY / INVESTMENT
- Manage and review Daily cash management
- Manage the intercompany settlement between entities; non-technical for Life and Non-Life & technical for Life
- Support the Branch CFO for investment activity
Qualifications
Experience:
- 5 to 10 years of relevant working experience in Insurance/reinsurance fields
Personal Competences:
- SAP system knowledge is a plus
- Strong skill in Excel
- Demonstrate ability to work collaboratively with multiple stakeholders and be pro-active
- Have ability to work under pressure and meet deadline
