The Slovak central bank, Národná banka Slovenska (NBS) is committed to becoming a leading small European central bank, recognized for its expertise in key financial areas. We are currently seeking a Credit Analyst to join our team and contribute to a pivotal shift in our investment strategy, aimed at expanding our investment portfolio and enhancing the bank's profit potential.

As a Credit Analyst at NBS, you will work closely with our Portfolio Manager overlooking multi billion buy and maintain portfolio focused on high quality credit investments, playing a vital role in achieving investment objectives within the Global Fixed Income Markets. You will join newly formed Credit team and report directly to the Head of the Foreign Exchange Reserve Management Section and the Director of the Market Operations Department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support Portfolio Managers by creating detail research screens and ranking to facilitate investment decisions.
• Credit analysis of investment grade companies and sectors/markets within the NBS investment guidelines (covered bonds, SSA, highly rated IG debt)
• Participate in investment committee meetings, quarterly portfolio reviews, and ad hoc credit discussions.
• Track and document investment decisions made by the team.
• Contribute to projects related to the configuration of portfolio management and front office systems.

An ideal candidate should have:

• Strong background in financial analysis, with proficiency in spreadsheet applications.
• Expertise in using tools such as Bloomberg, Excel, and PowerPoint, with a capacity to quickly learn new technologies.
• Demonstrated interest in credit markets, with relevant experience preferred.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Excellent understanding of credit analysis within a global macroeconomic context.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment and contribute innovative ideas.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Slovak is not required.

Slovak law requires us to state that the minimum base salary for this position is 3.000 € per month, excluding bonuses and additional benefits as per our internal guidelines.
