QBE Group has embarked on an ambitious Global Finance Transformation Program (the Program) to transform our Finance function through introducing a globally consistent operating model and ways of working. This includes integrated processes spanning Financial Analysis and Reporting (FP&A), Financial Accounting and Reporting (FAR) and Finance Operations (Fin Ops), using data in a consistent and uniformed way and migrating from aging technology to an Oracle ERP Cloud platform, supported by best of bread components. In addition to the Program, Finance is looking to improve the level of service it provides to its business stakeholders and to find efficiency opportunities within the global function, this includes opportunities to consolidate and simplify existing Finance support functions under a single global leadership structure.
The Oracle FIAB ('Finance in a Box') Reporting Support Senior Analyst (GSSC) is a senior role in the Global Finance Systems Support team, reporting to the Global Core Finance Systems Support Lead (GSSC), and will be accountable for the delivery of Global Oracle FIAB platform Reporting support to our global Finance (EO, APAC and NAO) and Procurement professionals. Managing the reporting pipeline and development of enhanced/new reports for Global Finance. The role will involve providing level 1 Finance System Reporting Support which will be responsible in all execution activities around building new reports, amendments of reports & ad-hoc requests. Other responsibilities are system administration, finance master data maintenance, global incident/defect triage management, etc.; will work closely with the Global Oracle FIAB Support Tower (based in United Kingdom).
• Engage and influence Finance management team to embed a continuous improvement culture supported by ongoing change management.
• Work in conjunction with Finance Transformation Program teams to transition activities into BAU support using a rigorous service take on approach.
• Ensure that the Global Oracle FIAB Tower complies with all relevant Group Policies and Standards, including but not limited to areas such as Financial Control Frameworks, Data Governance, Information Security and BCP.
• Ensure support SLAs and KPIs are understood and agreed by all key stakeholders and that KPIs are met or exceeded.
• Work with internal and external auditors to ensure thorough review, identification and rectification of any issues raised so that QBE achieves expected standards and best practice requirements.
• As appropriate, consult and collaborate with the QBE Finance, IT, and third-party SMEs, to ensure the effective execution of reporting changes.
• Provide business and system reporting support to finance community across all divisions and group.
• Collaborate with third party vendors to target and leverage relationships to maximize business process efficiency and minimize costs.
• Escalate issues as appropriate.
• Consistently manage data and identify better ways to report and maintain data.
• Modifying existing reports and provide analysis regarding Oracle and its Financial Reporting tools.
• Assist in developing new and ad-hoc reports across Finance divisions.
• Recommend and to create new reports for Finance divisions, if necessary
• Identify and drill down errors on reports.
• Provide front line operational support in reporting accordance with service standards ensuring the provision of excellent customer service.
• Prioritize reports, incidents/issues using business rationale and interact with third party managed support towers to resolve issues in a timely manner.
