Job Description
- Ability to identify, understand and explain the current business performance
- Have experience in BI data modelling and extraction tools.
- Challenge data and provide explanation when necessary
- Helping on the preparation of the weekly sales report and monthly management accounts
- Oversee updates to the rolling forecast, interim forecasts and annual budgets
- Perform tactical and strategic analysis and business modelling to support business decisions or major investments
- Undertake analysis of profit margins by product, business segment and/or customer
- Undertake ad hoc analysis for internal and external stakeholders/customers, including Commercial and New Product Development scenario planning
- Undertake financial, business and commercial analysis for the Sales and Operational teams
- Provide analysis and explanation on results & forecasts
- Provide warning alerts to ensure optimal business performance and to help promote action when applicable
- Streamline reporting processes and improve reporting tools
- Collaborate with the Financial Directors of local sites by providing accurate data
- Provide support to teams located in local sites to prepare Capital Investment proposals
- Process month-end activities for financial closing including accrual calculations and journal entries.
The Successful Applicant
- 5-10 years' experience in a busy progressive and tightly managed small to medium sized manufacturing or supply chain business
- Experience with group reporting, annual budget preparation, financial and data modelling, standard costing and cash flow forecasting
- Very good verbal and written communication skills
- Self-motivated, with energy and drive to go the extra mile and take the lead on assignments, who anticipates the needs of all stakeholders and deliver highly quality presentation ready analysis or reports
- Comfortable working to tight schedules and deadlines to deliver results
