We provide industry leading non-admitted property and casualty products via wholesale brokers on an excess and surplus basis.
Great American Risk Solutions is seeking a Financial Analysis Specialist to join the finance team! This position will sit in our Cincinnati office and will be on a hybrid schedule.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
Job Requirements
Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Field of Study: Business, Finance, Accounting or related discipline.
Experience: Generally, 5 to 8 years of related experience including 2 to 3 years in the insurance industry. Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and/or Master's in Business Administration (MBA) and insurance related certifications (Program in General Insurance (INS), Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU), etc.) preferred.

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities
- Develop financial models to determine effect of new business opportunities, capitalized expenditures, market conditions, or reinsurance strategy
- Support business unit's annual budget and planning process. Involving forecasting premium, expenses, staffing levels, and operating metrics.
- Conducts complex financial analysis involving monthly cost and profitability performance
- Identifies trends and developments in competitive environments and presents findings to senior management.
- Develop analytical tools to support management in decision making. Such as sensitivity and scenario analysis
- Provides technical advice to lower-level positions and other functional areas.
- May lead the work of others (mentors, prioritizes, delegates and reviews assignments).
- Special financial projects or studies for management
