Manager, Operational Due Diligence
The Manager, Operational Due Diligence will oversee the operational due diligence and ongoing monitoring of 3rd party investment managers to support the portfolio management team, particularly as it relates to alternative investments. Responsibilities will include conducting due diligence reviews, drafting assessment reports of managers and making presentations to corporate committees. Knowledge of audit and operations in the alternative asset management industry is required.

The Manager, Operational Due Diligence will oversee the operational due diligence and ongoing monitoring of 3rd party investment managers to support the portfolio management team, particularly as it relates to alternative investments. Responsibilities will include conducting due diligence reviews, drafting assessment reports of managers and making presentations to corporate committees. Knowledge of audit and operations in the alternative asset management industry is required.
Responsibilities
- Conduct on-site reviews of external asset managers as part of the ODD program
- Review information, including policies and procedures, received from external alternative asset managers as part of the Operational Due Diligence ("ODD") program
- Draft reports assessing managers and present to corporate committees
- Coordinate on-site reviews/conference calls with external alternative asset managers
- Maintain the external manager database and risk matrix
- Partner with other business units to respond to information requests from clients and/or external asset managers
- Assist with corporate internal/external audits
Requirements
- 10+ years of operational due diligence experience at an alternative asset management firm / investment consulting firm / wealth management firm
- Strong understanding of audit and operations within the alternative asset management industry
- Working knowledge of standards for the alternative asset management industry including policies, procedures and "best practices"
- Bachelors degree required; other advanced degree or industry certifications a plus
