Cabot Wealth Management, Inc., an established Wealth Management Firm located in Salem, MA, is seeking a skilled professional to join our team as a Tax Preparer. This is a seasonal, temporary, full-time (30-40 hours/week) position that will run from February to April 2025.
The Tax Preparer will work in tandem with a team of professionals to help prepare accurate Federal and State tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and their related trusts in a time-efficient manner. The individual will work with the Cabot Wealth Management tax team to ensure an accurate client-information intake and retention process, prepare working papers that tie to the client's tax returns, prepare and/or review client tax returns, and assist in the process of preparing the final tax return product to be shipped to our clients. The ideal candidate will have strong computer skills, organizational skills, and will be detail oriented.
Responsibilities:
Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns
Prepare and organize tax files and work papers
Prepare projections for estimated payment schedules
Communicate directly with team members on all related tax matters

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- Must have 10+ years of tax preparation experience, preferably with high-net-worth individuals, including experience with individual and fiduciary tax returns
- Proficient with CCH tax preparation software
- CPA or EA designation preferred
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills
- Must be detail oriented and able to meet deadlines
- Excellent PC skills (Excel, PDF editing, etc.)
- Self-motivated, team player
- Demonstrate strong accounting, analytical and organizational skills
