This role sits in Group Tax reporting to the Group Tax Director. Group Tax is made up of finance business partners, who manage corporate tax, VAT, employment taxes and expatriate taxes; accountants and business analysts who support the FBPs; and a part-qualified trainee. There are also tax mangers in the US and India, who support with taxes in those jurisdictions. The group offers a complex and dynamic environment that provides excellent technical development through exposure to a wide range of issues and interaction with a number of stakeholders, both internally and externally.

Job description
- Providing advice relating to the corporate tax issues of the commercial business
- Supporting the Group with HMRC enquiries; the group is overseen by HMRC Large Business Service
- Managing, enhancing and advising on Group Transfer Pricing documentation and Country by Country reporting (CBCR)
- Support and review the year-end tax provisions at Studios Group level, including deferred tax
- Manage the full technical review and authorisation of corporate tax returns for the commercial business with oversight of global tax compliance
- Provide updates and recommendations to the businesses on new legislation relevant to the management of corporate tax
- Provision of direct tax input to wider initiatives including Senior Accounting Officer requirements
- Represent the Group with all external agencies, in its dealings with corporate tax (to include HMRC, overseas tax authorities, external and internal auditors, professional advisors and lawyers, group customers, freelancers and suppliers)
- Provide proactive and pragmatic direct tax input on new initiatives, business line expansion and strategic plans (including ERP systems upgrades, transactions, setting up offices in new territories)
- Work with members of the wider finance community to promote and share best practice, to include:
- Effective governance, risk management and ensuring that internal compliance processes and controls are in place.
- Supporting the development and implementation of all financial policies and procedures ensuring that these contain appropriate methodologies, internal controls and processes
