Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement the firm's corporate Tax strategy in alignment with overall business goals and sector expertise.
- Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities, build strong relationships with potential clients, and expand Tax advisory services.
- Client Advisory: Provide high-level Tax advice on a range of corporate Tax issues including mergers and acquisitions, international Tax planning, transfer pricing, and compliance.
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary contact for key clients, ensuring their needs are met with tailored Tax solutions and maintaining strong client relationships.
- Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Tax professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Quality Assurance: Oversee the delivery of Tax services to ensure the highest standards are met and all regulatory requirements are adhered to.
- Risk Management: Identify and manage risks associated with Tax advisory work, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
- Financial Oversight: Manage the budget for the Tax practice, overseeing billing, profitability analysis, and financial performance.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Professional Qualification: CA/ACCA/CTA qualified or equivalent.
- Experience: Extensive experience in corporate Tax, with a proven track record in a senior role within a chartered accountancy firm.
- Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high-performing team.
- Business Acumen: Strong business development skills with the ability to identify and capitalize on new opportunities.
- Client Focus: Exceptional client relationship management skills, with the ability to deliver complex Tax advice in a clear and practical manner.
- Technical Expertise: In-depth knowledge of UK and International Tax legislation and regulatory requirements.
- Communication: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and negotiate at the highest levels.
