Role:
Reporting to the CSO Head of Sustainability Strategy, this role owns the end-to-end Programme Management and delivery of medium to highly complex projects. You will be responsible for driving the definition of the business case, project objectives, scope, resources and expected business outcomes, together with detailed project plans. You will be expected to implement and adhere to the required project management methodologies and governance and provide the project team with direction and confidence to deliver and leverage the expected benefits.

Role:

- Hybrid Programme Manager / Senior Project manager
- You'll be responsible for providing leadership, management, coordination, and direction to teams delivering projects within the Group Sustainability Strategy Programme.
- You will be an experienced project and programme professional with a deep understanding of change planning and implementation.
- You be skilled in applying high level programme and project management methodologies such as PRINCE2® and Managing Successful Programmes® (MSP) to control management of scope, risks and issues, budget, and have superb communication and interpersonal skills to keep all the stakeholders coordinated on delivering progress and achieving business benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establishing a small change function within the Central Sustainability Office
- Face off to the Head of Sustainability Strategy and Chief Sustainability Officer to agree and define change funded scope
- Assuring governance and quality of the Group Sustainability Strategy Programme
- Directly project managing the strategic topic Working Groups within the Group Sustainability Strategy Programme
- Benefits management and realization
- Business case development
- Ownership of Programme plan development
- Monitoring and controlling
- Resource management
- Risk and issue management
- Stakeholder management and leadership
- Strategic alignment of programme to achieve M&G's organizational objectives
Experience:
- 10+ Years experience working in a Programme Manager and/or Senior PM role
- Significant investment management experience, ideally including delivering change to the front office.
- Significant ESG / Sustainability experience within an investment management environment / context.
- Significant and demonstrable track record of end to end delivery of projects, including demonstrable experience of successfully turning around failing projects, building momentum, and buy-in to a new project.
- Experience of leading business transformation projects, working with both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience of working in a highly controlled and regulated environment
- Working effectively with stakeholders at different levels including executive and non-executive directors [C-Suite and NEDs] and external parties.
- Management and coaching of Project Managers, Business Analysts, Testers, Developers, SME (line and matrix)
