Summary:

The Financial Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Specialty Finance Center ("SFC") Senior Management Team in developing, building, and maintaining analytical tools such as dashboards, reports, and data sets to provide visibility and actionable information. The Financial Analyst will be a key partner to informed decision making, quality assurance, and strategizing on efficiencies, and will report to the SFC Integrations Sr Manager.

Now a portfolio of companies, SPG manages $4B GWP, with organic growth of over 10% since its founding and 1,000+ employees in over 35 offices across the United States.

Responsibilities:
  • Requirements Gathering - Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their needs and gather detailed business requirements.
  • Data Analysis - Analyze data to identify trends, patterns, and insights that inform business decisions.
  • Solution Development - Propose and design technical and process solutions that meet business needs and objectives.
  • Implementation Support - Work with Management and other departments to implement solutions and ensure they align with business goals.
  • Stakeholder Communication - Communicate findings, recommendations, and project updates to stakeholders and executives.
  • Documentation - Create detailed documentation of business requirements, processes, and solutions.
  • Quality Assurance - Participate in testing and validating new systems and processes to meet business requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement - Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to ongoing optimization efforts.
  • Other tasks and special projects as directed by Senior Management.

Qualifications:
  • Advanced Excel experience required
  • Experience in Power BI, or similar business intelligence platform
  • 2+ years of experience in Accounting, Finance, or Business-related field
  • BA/BS in Business, Finance or Accounting /or equivalent experience preferred
  • Ability to balance multiple priorities with the ability to adapt to the changing demands of the business while meeting deadlines
  • A well-established understanding of accounting, financial concepts, and controls
  • Superior verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to maintain effective working relationships with all levels of staff and management through effective communication
  • Must understand the need for flexibility in working schedule to meet deadlines and support a team
  • Insurance brokerage experience preferred but not required
  • Project management experience related to financial operations and improvement of controls ideal
