Senior Accountant

12-month fixed term contract for a Senior Accountant in the Perth CBD Your new company
Located in Perth's CBD, our impressive client is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their business on an initial 12-month fixed-term contract. You will be initially covering maternity leave, though there is a potential for this role to be ongoing for the right candidate. Join an established, friendly, welcoming and motivated team who will be there to support you in this role. With flexible working arrangements and the opportunity to work 1-2 days from home/remote, this role allows for great work-life balance as well as a great office culture. This is a full-time role, though if you're looking for part-time work, this can be considered and our client welcomes the conversation.

Your new role
Reporting to the CFO, this position will cover both Management Accounting and Financial Accounting duties. Experience working in a similar role is essential, with a CPA/CA qualification being advantageous. You will be working closely with a bookkeeper and have support from the wider business as well. Important for this role is someone who is proactive, a fast learner and who can commit to the 12-month period. This role will also involve some project management, and so great organisational skills, attention to detail and time management will be essential also.

What you'll need to succeed

• Experience working in a similar role
• Australian working rights - with the ability to work for the full 12-month period
• CA/CPA desirable though not essential
• System literacy - with experience using Xero being advantageous
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong work ethic and a willingness to learn
• Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders
• Strategic mindset and commercial acumen
