Job Purpose
Financial derivatives role within ICE Futures Europe (IFEU) responsible for position management procedures and investigations across multiple asset classes including oil, natural gas, environmental, soft commodity, fixed income and equities markets. In this role, the Senior Analyst, Market Regulation will demonstrate strong analytical and investigative skills, which combined with the ability to recognise position risks and identify potentially manipulative or illegitimate activity, will enable them to escalate accordingly. The analyst will be proficient in writing reports and have a keen aptitude for research.

Responsibilities
- Analysis of futures and options positions across all IFEU contracts, involving position size, change and underlying physical/cash holdings
- Monitoring of alerts to identify suspicious position maintenance activity; escalate suspected market abuse, financial crime and rule breaches
- Review evidence and present surveillance/investigation findings and reports to Market Regulation management
- Preparing weekly reports for intra/inter departmental meetings
- Providing excellent customer service, responding to telephone and email enquiries from Members and market participants
- Assist in the ongoing testing and enhancement of surveillance controls; produce technical and procedural documentation as required
- Undertake project work to enhance function procedures
- Maintenance of internal policies and procedures
Knowledge and Experience
- Educated to degree level or equivalent (Finance/Mathematics/Economics/Law/Engineering/ or similar)
- Comprehensive knowledge and understanding of all IFEU derivative futures and options markets
- Broad understanding of ongoing regulatory developments and the Market Abuse Regulation (MAR) and Money Laundering Directives
- Strong IT literacy skills
- Excellent report writing skills and attention to detail
- Capacity to effectively communicate and co-operate with other departments and external organisations
- Proficient at identifying problems and working efficiently to resolve
- Strong organisational skills; ability to manage multiple tasks
- Proven ability to work well under pressure and to deadlines
