We are looking for an AVP to join our Client Lifecycle Management team in London.

Profile Summary

To complete periodic reviews on all Mizuho EMEA clients in a professional, diligent and timely manner ensuring adherence to all regional regulations, internal policies / procedures and SLA's.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Pro-actively manage the periodic review population, ensuring KYC on all clients remains valid and compliant with regional regulations
  • Performing reviews on overnight screening hits to confirm materiality or not
  • Communicate refresh requirements to Account Officers and / or clients directly
  • Undertake thorough due diligence on all existing counterparties including identification, verification and World Check One Screening of clients and associated parties
  • Ensure data integrity in Fenergo and the systematic capture of supporting documentation in SharePoint
  • Where applicable, liaise with Credit and Compliance to ensure relevant approvals have been granted
  • Ensure clients are fully off-boarded in line with requests from Credit and/or Compliance or due to account dormancy
  • Ownership and pro-active management of the CLM Inbox, ensuring all internal and clients communications are responded to and/or actioned in a timely and professional manner
  • Ensure that all handoffs to other departments are understood and managed effectively
  • Develop relationships with internal stakeholders with a view to driving end to end process enhancements
  • Assist the Periodic Review Team Lead and EMEA Head of Onboarding with ad-hoc projects as required

Qualifications, Skills and Experience
  • Bachelors Degree or equivalent
  • Securities industry qualifications beneficial
  • Knowledge of Financial Services and AML/KYC legislation and related regulations. Awareness of future changes and how these may impact the team
  • Excellent communication skills and client service orientation, with previous experience in a customer facing role
  • Flexibility to perform a variety of tasks with good organisational and time management skills and ability to work under pressure
  • Demonstrable ability to innovate, support change and problem solve
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills
  • Ability to work under own initiative and as part of a team
  • Computer literacy: excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SharePoint and skills in data manipulation / presentation
  • Language skills are an asset, Japanese speaker preferred
