RELATIONSHIP MANAGER SENIOR - DEPOSITS
WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
The Deposits Relationship Manager develops and manages relationships across the different Specialty Banking business units. This key position is responsible for actively meeting the Cash Management needs of both existing clients and prospective clients by presenting a variety of Deposits and Treasury Management product solutions as well as facilitating the effective cross-selling of the bank's entire product portfolio in consultation with product experts from throughout the bank. The Deposits Relationship Manager will be expected to deploy both consultative and responsive selling techniques as situationally required. The Relationship Manager is responsible for the continued profitable growth of the assigned portfolio through active calling efforts, service and referrals. Adeptly identifying and promoting solutions to customer needs and maintaining an active calling program is essential for success. This position requires a high level of relationship management, communication, presentation and influencing skills and experience. The position may approve transactions within it's delegated authority.

What you will do
- Develop Deposit Relationships from both new bank clients and existing Non-Deposit clients. Identify business opportunities for Specialty Banking teams from existing customers, a network of referral sources, and other professionals in the industry. Develop a strong understanding of company, industry, business and needs to assist in client calling efforts.
- Collaborate with CNB's Treasury Management Sales Team to market CNB's suite of Treasury products and services.
- Monitor and analyze relationship results and deposit account activities. Determine client profitability. Make recommendations regarding accounts to be further developed or eliminated.
- Maintain awareness of competitive products, practices, rates and changes in market conditions.
- Negotiate transactions; prices Specialty Banking depository products and services to capitalize on cross-selling opportunities while ensuring profitability standards are maintained.
- Coordinate inter-departmental client service as necessary. Define client service responsibilities amongst different business units and coordinate product and service delivery of all Bank products.
- Ensure compliance with Bank policy and regulatory requirements. Exercise sound credit and risk judgment in approving transactions. Ensures the quality of all business introduced to the Bank.
- Selectively represent the Bank by actively participating in outside civic and community affairs, business and industry-related organizations, and other professional activities as appropriate.
- Input referrals into MyReferrals from Specialty Banking colleagues to other units. Input referral updates as needed. Review division quarterly referral payout reports for accuracy.
- Select administrative responsibilities and inter-departmental committee assignments.
- Complete all bank required training courses.
Must-Have*
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent
- Minimum 6 years of experience in relationship management of Deposits based clients/portfolio in a financial services company
- Minimum 4 years of product sales and new business development in a financial services company
Skills and Knowledge
- Consultative selling expertise for common Commercial Banking products and services including but not limited to: Deposits, Treasury Management, Commercial AP and Credit Cards, Foreign Exchange and Letters of Credit.
- History of delivering exemplary client service and successful multitasking in a high volume environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Ability to work both autonomously or in teams as situationally required.
- Must be available to respond to client service requests at all times. Job expectations will include some weekend and off-hours client service as needed.
- Willingness to travel to the East Coast and the Bay Area as needed.
- Familiarity with Private Equity and/or General Asset Management Industry.
- Proficiency with technology platforms including but not limited to Salesforce, Business Suite, Seismic and Tableau.
- Knowledge of Specialty Banking policies and procedures, in addition to CNB's general policies and procedures.
