About this Position:
Through performance monitoring, the Supervisor will ensure adherence to procedures, policies and company guidelines and initiatives. The Supervisor's primary focus will be to coach team members toward ultimately improving their team's contribution to overall key department performance metrics. This position is within the Repossession department and responsibilities include:
- This position will work onsite at the Southfield, Mi location.
- Lead 6-12 Title Administrators in effectively and efficiently managing tasks related to receiving and pulling titles, accurately updating our systems with valid information and handling electronic title record exceptions.
- Support and develop processes for efficiently enforcing title compliance policies while minimizing legal risk and ensuring Credit Acceptance's interest is always secured on a vehicle we finance by properly managing our lien.
- Identify processes and suggests process improvements while effectively communicating any changes to your team.
Outcomes and Activities:
- Service: Maintain Standards of Service expectations for title/lien requests from internal and external customer and ensure compliance with our policies, processes and legal guidelines. Ensure title and lien documents are received, stored and pulled in a timely fashion and all impacted systems are updated accurately.
- Support the Business: Maintain expertise on national and state specific title processes. Identify processes to improve and deliver more efficient results to the function's customer (other Credit Acceptance Departments and the Dealers).
- Coach: Motivate and mentor team members to achieve specific goals and provide feedback of performance based on departmental objectives and observations. Assist team members to obtain the necessary job specific knowledge base and develop effective problem resolution skills
- Communicate: Effectively encourage two-way dialog to improve outcomes.
- Provide Input: Identify barriers and develop business strategies to improve and support company and departmental objectives. Participate and provide feedback in corporate initiatives. Conduct interviews and provide feedback to ensure right people selection through hiring process.
- Promote company culture: Resolve team member's issues or problems in a positive and confidential manner by treating all team members fairly and with respect and be available and approachable to discuss concerns. Support and encourage Great Place to Work Principals to promote a healthy work environment.

Position Requirements:
- This position will work onsite at the Southfield, Mi location.

- Comfortable with handling issues and problems from team members and third parties

- Operate office equipment (copy machines, fax, telephone, keyboard).
- Set Clear Expectations understood by various types of team members and Performance Manage to those set expectations.
- Desire to understand own strengths and development needs; acts upon feedback from both Team Members and Management
Requirements:
- Associates Degree or equivalent work
- Minimum of 2 years previous leadership experience or experience in a senior/mentoring role
- Demonstrated ability to assess team member performance and implement action plans
- Demonstrated ability to make and communicate decisions autonomously
Preferred:
- DMV Titling and/or Dealer Title experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 1 Year experience with Credit Acceptance
