Job Details Basic Information of The Role Job Title: AVP - Funding and Cash Management Job Grade: 7 Sector: Finance Division: Treasury Department: Treasury Reporting to (Job Title): SVP - Treasury
Job Purpose This section summarizes the primary purpose of your job, the major overall responsibilities. Managing and optimizing SALICs cash flow, including overseeing the funding of operations and implementing cash management strategies. Working closely with financial institutions, treasury teams, and other internal departments to ensure cash is available when needed and maximum interest is earned on surplus funds.
Key Roles and Responsibilities This section describes the primary duties and responsibilities to give an accurate, complete picture of the job & details Key Result Area required for this position used for the performance management. Functional Responsibilities 1 Developing and executing funding strategies to support SALIC growth objectives. This involves actively monitoring market conditions and identifying opportunities to raise capital or optimize funding sources. 2 Managing the SALICs cash flows and liquidity position to ensure sufficient funds are available to meet operational and investment needs. This entails monitoring cash inflows and outflows, managing bank accounts, and implementing cash management strategies 3 Developing and implementing cash forecasting models to accurately project future cash flows and anticipate the SALIC's short-term and long-term funding requirements. 4 Monitoring and managing interest rate risk, foreign exchange risk, and other financial risks related to funding and cash management activities 5 Leading a team of funding and cash management professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and performance management to drive optimal outcomes. 6 Collaborating with internal stakeholders, such as treasury, finance, and business units, to align funding and cash management activities with the SALIC's overall strategic goals and objectives. 7 Keeping abreast of industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging technologies in funding and cash management to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and efficiency enhancement 8 9 Managerial Responsibilities 1 Provide input to the sector's strategy from the Department's or Section's perspective in line with SALIC overall vision and mission. 2 Develop the Department's or Section's objectives, KPIs, annual operational plans and ensure plan execution is meeting the targets. 3 Contribute to the preparation of the Department's or Section's annual budget and monitor the financial performance of the Department or Section. 4 Implement and execute the Department's or Section's policies and procedures. Oversee the overall performance of the section and ensure KPI's are well developed, cascaded, communicated, and monitored. 5 Ensure effective staffing, professional development, and deployment of staff of the Department or Section in consultation with the Sector Executive or SVP.
Job Specifications Qualifications and Certifications
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, or Finance (Master's Preferred).
Work Experience Minumum of 7 - 11 years of experience
