Job Profile Summary:

In this role, you drive continuous change and improvement in the IT Division by taking initiative and ensuring plans are setup, monitored and implemented. You will work closely with various stakeholders to manage the IT Division Portfolio in the themes of budgets, resources, IT deliveries and key milestones. This role will focus on the financial oversight and management of the IT Division's budget and includes planning, forecasting, and tracking IT expenditures, as well as ensuring alignment with the organization's financial strategies and objectives. The role requires collaboration with stakeholders to manage budgetary concerns and provide financial insights for IT projects and initiatives. This position reports to the Head of IT Portfolio Management

Job Description:
  • Support the overall management of the IT Division's budget, including forecasting and expenditure tracking.
  • Implement financial tracking and reporting methodologies to assess budget performance and forecast future financial needs.
  • Manage the review and approval process for IT engagements and budget requests, ensuring compliance to organisational policies.
  • Respond to inquiries regarding IT budget information and provide timely and accurate reports to stakeholders.
  • Support in the management of the IT Division resources and planning.
  • Support in the governance of the Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) procedures, ensuring adherence of the policy, standards and procedures for software and platform development.
  • Support the facilitation of the Change Advisory Board (CAB) process and ensure compliance for all change and releases.
  • Schedule, organise, collate, and socialise IT Portfolio information among various stakeholders as required.
  • Drive or participate in the delivery of IT Division initiatives in meeting required milestones.
  • Support internal and external audit or assurance related activities.

  • A track record of working in dynamic environments independently with minimal supervision.
  • Strong sense of ownership and commitment to deliver responsibilities in a timely manner.
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Organised and detail orientated, with a willingness to embrace tools to work more efficiently.

Working Experience:
  • At least 2 years of working experience with portfolio management and/or managing mid-sized IT projects through Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies.
  • At least 3 years of working experience with financial management and budgeting within an IT context.
  • Understanding of IT project delivery concepts and their financial implications.
  • Experience in the facilitation of governance, budget review, steering and other project / portfolio related meetings.
  • Experience in stakeholder management, especially senior management highly desirable.
  • Knowledge in JIRA, Confluence, advanced Excel or scripting highly desirable

Education:
  • Bachelor degree (Business, Finance, IT or equivalent)
  • Finance, Insurance, IT and/or Project management certifications / qualifications highly desirable

Language:
  • Good written and spoken English
