Providing thought leadership and best-in-class technical quality in a rapidly evolving tax landscape.

Deloitte Switzerland's National Tax Office acts as an internal competence centre for complex tax matters, both for Swiss and international taxes (e.g., corporate & individual taxes, transfer pricing, Pillar II, tax accounting & reporting). The National Tax Office team closely follows new tax legislation, court decisions, tax administration practices, and trends, as well as develops technical insights, content and ideas which are shared internally to upskill the Swiss firm and tax & legal staff.

To further strengthen the National Tax Office and to support the partner in charge, Deloitte Switzerland is looking for a German speaking (Senior) Manager with excellent technical expertise in Swiss and international tax law. It is a unique position to focus exclusively on technical matters in a Big4 environment without direct responsibility for client projects.

How you can make an impact

  • Analyzing new tax legislation, court decisions, tax administration practices, articles in tax journals and new trends in the tax world, and creating internal newsletters for our staff as well as external newsletters and blogs for our clients
  • Development of new tax content and ideas for our clients in close cooperation with the responsible partner and other specialists
  • Responsibility for Deloitte Switzerland's internal tax knowledge database
  • Participation in consultation procedures for new laws (Vernehmlassung) and circulars at cantonal / communal / OECD level, Deloitte studies, articles in tax journals, and preparation of presentations for internal and external seminars
  • Support in the professional coaching of young employees in the first years of their career as well as in training (e.g. tax expert diploma)
  • If needed, support on client projects (e.g. second review, preparation of memorandum)

Who we are looking for

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master in Business, Economics, Finance, Law or equivalent and have completed the Swiss tax expert diploma (Steuerexperte) or are currently working on your doctor thesis in tax law
  • You have excellent technical expertise in Swiss and international tax law, both related to corporate and individual taxes. Expertise in private clients would be an advantage
  • At the interface between economics and law, you have a flair for numbers and models as well as for the underlying legal issues
  • You are well connected in the Swiss tax community (e.g., universities, tax administrations, courts)
  • You communicate fluently in German and English. French or Italian would be an advantage
  • You are a quick learner, innovative and have a humble, autonomous and organized personality who favors teamwork
  • Part-time working possible, but at least 60%
