Perpetual Group is an ASX-listed company (ASX:PPT) headquartered in Sydney, Australia, currently consisting of 11 leading brands across three distinct businesses: Asset Management, Wealth Management and Corporate Trust.

Following the completion of a comprehensive Strategic Review in May 2024, it was announced that Perpetual Limited will become a standalone Asset Management business and has entered into an agreement with an affiliate of Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR) who will acquire the Corporate Trust and Wealth Management businesses.

Our Corporate Trust business is a leading provider of fiduciary and digital solutions to the banking and financial services industry in Australia and Singapore. It administers securitisation portfolios, investment and debt structures to protect the interests of our clients' investors. Corporate trust supports clients locally and overseas with a unique offering through five key service offerings: Debt Market Services; Managed Fund Services; Perpetual Asia, headquartered in Singapore; Perpetual Digital, and Laminar Capital.

About the role

Join our dynamic team within Treasury Advisory and Cash Management. In this role, you will be responsible for opening through to account closure and responding to ad hoc queries accurately and in timely manner. This role provides a unique opportunity to work with internal stakeholders and multiple banking institutions and platforms.

As an Accounts Management Officer, you will:
  • Manage Perpetual Corporate Trust bank account opening and closure requests
  • Manage and resolve all account/user/transaction related queries with all Perpetual Corporate Trust banking partners
  • Manage user setups in various internal and external systems
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems; both electronic and paper-based format
  • Build effective relationships with clients and act upon client instructions within required timeframes (SLAs)
  • Respond to client enquiries relating to various services, financial products, fees and conditions
  • Identify and mitigate risks and ensure compliance with legal and statutory requirements.
  • Use initiative, work with deadlines and perform tasks with high level of accuracy.
  • Communicate effectively on issues to Senior Management and ensure a proper and timely follow-up to ensure resolution
  • Provide guidance, support, act as resource and assist team members from multiple operational areas.

About you

The successful candidate will be able to effectively prioritise and manage deadlines and have experience working in a high volume, fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills. In addition, we're looking for someone with:

  • Minimum 2-3 years' experience in Financial Services with good knowledge and understanding of trusts & related documentation
  • Excellent client management skills and relationship management experience
  • Solid understanding of AML and KYC
  • Experience with onboarding and offboarding clients (highly desirable)
  • Experience with foreign currency transactions, global payment formatting, domestic banking platforms, RTGS, & debt directory exchange
  • Knowledge of Privacy Act obligations, relevant industry codes and legislation.
