Senior Payroll Officer

Exciting Senior Payroll Opportunity for an International company based in West Perth Your new company
It is an established international company based in West Perth. An opportunity for a Senior Payroll opportunity, leading the payroll team has become available. Work in a new and modern office in West Perth.

Your new role

• Payroll processing of end-to-end payroll in a high volume environment
• Processing Payroll Tax, PAYG, and Superannuation
• Responsible for Payroll review, identifying, and communicating errors prior to final processing
• Assist with payroll journals for each entity for onward processing
• Investigate any variances in the first instance; Escalate to management where required to ensure timely close out and processing of monthly payroll costs
• Monitor Payroll email inbox and answer payroll related queries from employees, managers, and auditors.
• Monthly reconciliation of annual leave and payment of superannuation and payroll tax
• Keep up to date on all payroll related matters such as STP and changes to Fair Work rules
• Leading and mentoring the payroll team in order to achieve deadlines. Assisting the Financial Controller with developing the team.

What you'll need to succeed

• Senior payroll experience, with experience of leading and coordinating a payroll team is ideal.
• Knowledge of awards and payroll legislation
• Strong excellent skills
• Excellent communication and organisation skills
• Strong leadership and team skills in order to influence the team to achieve results.
