Corporate Trustee and Fiduciary Compliance VP

Global Bank is looking for a VP to join their Corporate Trust and Fiduciary team, where the candidate will be liaising with SFC, MPFA, and other internal stakeholders. This hire will handle new SFC type 13 license-related regulatory queries and setup.

SFC or MPFA regulator background and CIB business compliance background is preferred.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the Trustee/Fiduciary relationships for a specific portfolio of managed Fund clients in Hong Kong.
• Aid in managing legal and contractual client documentation, including their safekeeping and upkeep.
• Participate in client meetings as needed and assist in drafting service level agreements.
• Support the establishment of new business ventures and manage client asset and cash accounts.
• Prepare high-level reports for clients and collaborate with internal teams on operational matters and escalations.
• Conduct monitoring checks on investments and borrowing for designated funds, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
• Handle breaches and pricing errors, manage data flow between internal teams and clients.
• Monitor and track service level commitments, escalate issues for resolution, and conduct onsite inspections of fund functionaries.
• Assist in preparing inspection reports, tracking findings to resolution, and engaging in special projects as directed.
• Develop and maintain a Procedures Manual for the area of responsibility.
• Assess risks prudently in decision-making processes, ensuring compliance with regulations and upholding ethical business practices.

Qualifications:

• 6+ years of relevant experience in Fiduciary, compliance, SFC/MPFA
• Comprehensive knowledge of Regulatory Framework and compliance requirements.
