Why this role is important to us

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Global Financial Payroll Controller to join our dynamic finance team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial controlling of the groups total compensation cost and ensuring accuracy and compliance. This role requires good financial controlling and analytical capabilities, an understanding of payroll-related transactions, such as financial impact from bonus accruals/payout, holiday accruals and be able to explain deviations to budget.

The role is placed in Financial Controlling & Reporting function is part of Group Accounting and Financial Reporting. Together, we are responsible for accounting, financial controlling, consolidation and external reporting for SimCorp group.
The job is located in Warsaw. You will be reporting to the Head of Financial Controlling & Reporting.

What you will be responsible for

• In debt financial controlling and analysis of monthly payroll data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Understand financial impact of various bonus models, including performance-based incentives, commission structures, and other compensation programs.
• Prepare detailed payroll reports and variance analysis to explain deviations from budget and forecast.
• Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on payroll analysis and findings.

What we value (our requirements)

• Master degree (i.e. Cand. Merc Aud. or equivalent)
• Strong financial controlling skills
• Advanced technical accounting skills within payroll finance
• Analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets
• Advanced Excel skills
• Experience with bonus models
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain financial information clearly and concisely
• Great attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

Quarterly and yearly financial reporting are peak times for us, and some overtime should be expected.
