Your role
Are you a sharp evaluator of risk? Can you investigate complex situations, identify concerns and propose solutions?
UBS Group Internal Audit (GIA) is looking for an Internal Quality Assurance Specialist to:
• conduct and lead Internal Quality Assurance (IQA) reviews of audits across all audit divisions / functions as well as assess the effectiveness of key Group Internal Audit (GIA) processes and infrastructure
• provide practical, innovative, and value-added solutions to any findings, thereby contributing to enhancing the quality and effectiveness of GIA
• build and maintain strong relationships with key GIA leaders and increase the impact of IQA by influencing change
• represent IQA at local and global GIA management meetings, e.g. sharing review outcomes and actions
Your team
You'll be working in the Internal Quality Assurance team and as an independent function, is to assist GIA in (i) achieving its purpose of being an independent voice to safeguard and strengthen UBS and (ii) operating in line with its charter and strategy, as well as the IIA Standards and Code of Ethics. We do this by assessing key GIA processes and infrastructure, conducting audit reviews, and collecting feedback via feedback surveys and interviews. Your role is based in Zurich, and you will report to the IQA Chapter Lead in Zurich.

Your expertise
• a university degree and intellectual curiosity
• ideally 3+ years' experience in audit, compliance or internal risk management areas within UBS (ideally 3+ years in internal audit with experience leading audits or key parts of audits)
• strong analytical skills and willingness to keep up with industry, regulatory developments and learn new concepts and methods
• a detailed understanding of banking operations and local as well as key global industry regulations as well a quantitative approach to problem solving
• strong verbal and written communication skills, including ability to challenge business leaders
• experience in agile ways of working
• reliable when working independently, with sound judgment for when to escalate issues
• risk focused, and capable of using data analytics to gain insights
