Morgan McKinley are currently working with a boutique 14 partner firm based in London who are you looking to expand their team with a Corporate Tax Semi-Senior within their Creative Industries team. This team focuses OMBs, SMEs and Start up for a varying dynamic client base with a focus on the Creative Media Sector.

Within the role you will have the following responsibilites:
  • Undertake technical support and research in delivering tax services as directed to meet client needs liaising with relevant Senior/Manager/Partner
  • Take responsibility for the delivery of the complete tax computation and CT600 return for various sized companies/groups ready for review by a Senior/Manager/Partner
  • Take responsibility for managing the monthly team work flow (WIP)
  • Take responsibility for monthly compliance administration and any other time related tax deadlines (i.e. QIP's)
  • Prepare creative industry tax credit calculations as and when required
  • Work in collaboration with the team to share knowledge and ideas to assist in the communication and achievement of team goals (efficiency etc)
  • Start to develop profile and build knowledge of technical expertise, i.e. all Creative Industries tax credit claims (AVEC/VGEC/FTC/OTR/TTR/MGETR/ATC/VGTR/HETV)

The ideal candidate:
  • 1-2 years experience working in corporate tax
  • Experience using AlphaTax software (Desirable not essential)
  • Competent at using Excel
  • Able to compute figures rapidly and accurately and analyse and interpret financial data
  • Assist with ad-hoc tasks including HMRC calls, certificate of residence, form 64-8, W-8BEN
  • Prepare CT600 for review
  • Currenttly studying or looking to study towards ATT/CTA
  • Excellent communication skills (oral and written)
  • Effective team player
  • Build relationships with peers internally and externally
